why group coaching?
Our objective is to increase your productivity and inspire motivation so you will be excited to engage with your graduate studies. Through this effective, group coaching model, you will better define your goals, identify your resources and challenges, reduce your stress, and better manage your time.
You are only in graduate school for a short period of time, and we want to support you in maximizing this opportunity.
Fall 2022 Cohort Options:
Cohort 1: Mondays, 11 am – 12:15 pm (CST), from October 18th through November 14th
Cohort 2: Tuesdays, 2 pm – 3:15 pm (CST) from October 19th through November 15th

When you sign up for a Group Coaching Cohort, you will:
- Attend five 75-minute Group Coaching sessions (via Zoom) - Led by two professional coaches with many years of faculty experience and graduate students from a variety of backgrounds. Each cohort is capped at 10 graduate students.
- Gain tools and resources tailored specifically to your needs such as proven strategies for writing productivity, time management, and conflict resolution.
- Use research-based approaches to identifying and leveraging your strengths so you can more efficiently meet your goals.
- Build connections with other graduate students who can provide ongoing support and accountability.
- Receive one 30-minute, one-on-one laser coaching session with one of your group’s coaches and be eligible for a 30% discount on one month of one-on-one coaching following the conclusion of the group coaching cohort.

dr. erin mctigue
Erin McTigue of the Positive Academic has been coaching faculty and other academics professionally for five years. Previously she was a tenured professor of education at Texas A&M university and received multiple awards for mentoring, teaching and research productivity. She also has taught graduate students courses and faculty workshops in academic writing.
dr.katherine wright
Katherine Wright is an Associate Professor of Education at Boise State University. Her research on academic motivation and engagement informs how she supports graduate students across the University. Previously, she served as the coordinator for a graduate student writing support program, focused on improving student writing and productivity. You can find her at www.WrightERC.com.
